Booking essential 

Dr Kieran Connell (Queen’s University Belfast) introduces a screening of Stuart Hall’s film Mugging: A Case Study in Communication (Open University, 1974), focusing on the Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies’ work on the Handsworth mugging case that later led to the book Policing the Crisis. Followed by a discussion about reading Policing the Crisis in light of our current crises, led by Dr Nick Beech (New York University) and Ash Sarkar (Novara Media).
