Jonathan Watkins, Director, Ikon and Elizabeth Ann MacGregor, Director, Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) reflect on major developments at Ikon in the 1990s, including the expansion of the gallery’s programme to include artists from Australia and Latin America, attacks from the tabloid press and Ikon’s relocation to its current premises in Brindleyplace.
