Yorks Café at Ikon
Join us for a special screening of The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce (2009) the second of two screenings detailing the life of the notorious cannibal. Pearce’s portrait is presented in the exhibition of Thomas Bock’s work in Ikon’s first floor galleries. This film contains mature content and is not suitable for younger audiences.
The Last Confession of Alexander Pearce is preceded by After the Crow Flies (Sonal Kantaria, 2016), which focuses on and is narrated by Clarrie Cameron, an Aboriginal Elder, who explored the landscape that is so pertinent to the Aboriginal cultures. He recounts the stories of the effect of colonisation on his peoples, navigating through the stark landscape of Western Australia, that has shaped modern day Australia.
Yorks Café at Ikon will be offering a low-key but giant slice of pizza and a beer or soft drink for £7.
Please book online or call Ikon on 0121 248 0708. Please note that online booking closes at 5 pm on Wednesday 7 February 2018.
