Over the spring and summer of 2005 Ikon ran a scheme which involved in-depth training for 15 young people from five of the gallery’s Creative Partnerships schools. Working alongside Ikon staff and a number of artists and educators, the young curators developed skills in aspects of gallery practice including selection, display, interpretation and marketing. They curated two exhibitions of work made by their peers in response to the work of artists Giovanni Anselmo and Ayse Erkmen.
