Jacques Nimki was the lead artist for Black Country voyages in the summer of 2015, transforming the boat into The Black Apotheca.

A floating laboratory of herbal concoctions made from local plants, showcasing drawings, recipes, and objects relating to apothecary.

This series of editioned paper collages of cut-out plants represent some of the plants collected and drawn during his time on the Canal. Many have medicinal, magical and culinary uses and include Marjoram, Creeping Thistle, Nipplewort, Shepards purse, Sticky Willy, Cow parsley, Cats Ear,Jack by the hedge, to name a few. Each edition is constructed by hand and therefore, there will be a very slight differences in the composition of each piece,thereby making each work a unique artwork.
