Missing Post Office UK

Ikon Reception, Ground Floor

Is there someone you wish you could tell your thoughts, even if you might never receive an answer? Ikon hosts a Birmingham branch of Missing Post Office UK by Japanese artist Saya Kubota. First established in 2013, the office continues to operate on the small island of Awashima, Japan, where over 7,000 letters from people of all walks of life are held in the care of postmaster Mr Nakata.

Visit Ikon to post the letters you want to write but don’t know where to send. The collected letters will be shown at a forthcoming exhibition at the Daiwa Foundation, London (19 January – 22 February 2016).
