Ikon has developed an off-site programme to engage with people from communities in Birmingham and beyond.

ART AT HMP GRENDON

With a focus on the development of the prisoners’ artistic practice, Ikon has opened the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Studio at HMP Grendon – a dedicated space for workshops, in printing and painting, and a changing programme of exhibitions, art historical and contemporary.

Funded by the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust.

IYP ON SLOW BOAT

A converted narrow boat, Slow Boat is a unique floating space for Ikon Youth Programme (IYP), local communities and artists to make and experience art in a stimulating and creative environment. Supported by Freelands Foundation.
