Vanley Burke, born in Jamaica in 1951, resident in Birmingham since 1965, is renowned as a photographer concerned especially with black culture in Britain.

At Home with The Diskery
Ikon Shop, free
During the Birmingham Weekender Ikon Shop has teamed up with The Diskery, a local independent record shop (est. 1952), for a celebration of second-hand vinyl. This is a unique opportunity to buy, swap and listen to a selection of records inspired by the collection of Roots Reggae and Ska music in Ikon’s exhibition At Home with Vanley Burke. Throughout the exhibition Ikon hosts a pop-up shop from The Diskery, selling vintage records.
