Family Saturday

Join artist Menxgia Lui in Ikon’s second floor galleries to create badges inspired by the beasts and bold colours that feature in Ismael Monticelli’s artwork Spaghetti Junction (2022).

This event is organised to coincide with Ikon’s current exhibition Horror in the Modernist Block.

Ikon’s Learning Programme is supported by Cass Art. Please consider making a donation for this free activity.

About the artist

Menxgia Lui’s artistic practice focuses on developing reportage illustration and perspective drawing. Using a visual ethnographic approach, she gives a voice to under-represented communities. Her work is illustrative in form and strives to create new approaches to representational practice, reflecting the complexities of the multicultural world in which we live.
