Join artist-educator Nastaran Tavakoli as she leads families on a fun creative trail through Ikon’s exhibition, Donald Locke, Resistant Forms.
This interactive experience encourages families and younger visitors to explore art and ideas together. Use your detective skills to discover new artworks and investigate details throughout the exhibition, while enjoying creative activities.
The sessions take place through the day and showcase how Ikon’s free resources, including Art Explorer guides, plus our friendly team, can help expand the gallery experience for visitors. No need to book, just drop in.
About the artist
Nastaran Tavakoli is an Iranian artist-educator leading art workshops and classes for all ages. For Nastaran Tavakoli, art is not just about creating objects, it’s about connecting with people, sharing stories, and inspiring the next generation. Nastaran Tavakoli is on a study placement with the Ikon Education Team, as part of her MA Arts Education Practice degree.
Donald Locke, Resistant Forms is organised by Ikon in collaboration with Spike Island, Bristol and Camden Art Centre, London with support from the Estate of Donald Locke. The exhibition is generously supported by The Ampersand Foundation, Henry Moore Foundation, the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art, Alison Jacques and the Estate of Donald Locke.
