Young Birmingham Artists: Ikon artists from the 1960s

Exhibition
Open Tuesday – Sunday, 9am–6pm – free

Medicine Bakery & Gallery, 69 New Street, Birmingham B2 4DU

Before it opened in 1965, the young artists who founded Ikon were often showing their work at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists in its premises on New Street. To coincide with the launch of the Medicine Bakery & Gallery in this beautiful Victorian venue, works by these artists and a number of their contemporaries feature in an exhibition that revisits Ikon’s origins. Including Peter Berry, Jesse Bruton, Trevor Denning, Robert Groves, Sylvani Merilion, David Prentice, Dinah Prentice, John Salt and Pamela Scott Wilkie.

Please note the Medicine Bakery is only accessible via a steep staircase.
