Join us for a drop-in creative activity, led by a local artist. Open to all ages
Ikon is a family-friendly gallery offering a range of free activities aimed at families and young visitors. The gallery houses a café, shop, baby changing facilities and a lift to all floors.
ART EXPLORER
Ikon’s Art Explorer Guide, made for each exhibition, contain short creative activities for families. Pick up a free copy at the gallery or download below and print at home.

ACTIVITY PACKS
Ikon’s activity packs (Key Stages 1-3) are free to download. For the current pack we ask you to answer some very short questions. Activity packs for past exhibitions also available.

Inherited Forms
Inherited Forms includes artworks created by Ikon Youth Programme during a workshop led by artist Hannah Lim (July 2026).
The display on Ikon’s Slow Boat, explores how personal histories accumulate through materials, objects, creatures and fragments. The exhibitied works range from unfinished to overworked, from familiar to borrowed. Together, they form a temporary material archive—messy, emotional and decorative—shaped by what we inherit.
