Building Practice
Join architect Mathew Leung aboard Slow Boat for a discussion about his practice and approaches to architecture, hosted by Ikon Youth Programme members.
Mathew begins with a short introduction to his recent work, followed by a Q&A led by IYP members
This conversation explores ideas of regeneration and demolition, examining how these processes shape contemporary urban environments and drawing parallels with ongoing changes in Coventry city centre.
This is an opportunity to talk through approaches to making, thinking, and working within architecture today.
Mathew Leung is an architect and founding partner of Assemble. He has a broad range of projects, including 1-10 Bevington Road, a deep retrofit of ten Victorian houses used as student accommodation by St Anne’s College.
He is also a director of Assemble’s Workspace arm, which currently operates three interim use sites across London and is shortly to take on a long term site in Bromley by Bow.
