Jewellery making activity

Lockets & Pendants – Symbol, Story

Visitors are invited to drop-in for a jewellery making activity led by MA Jewellery & Related Products Course Director, Iona McCuaig, and Lecturer, Naomi Clarke.

Participants will explore mark-making and press-forming techniques to create texture, pattern and form in metal. Participants will also have an opportunity to produce a large-scale metal locket or pendant, inspired by personal stories, that can be added to the exhibition or taken home.

This activity is open to all and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Recommended for age 14+.

From 10 to 14 June, Birmingham City University MA Jewellery & Related Products students from the Department of Fashion and Jewellery present EXPANSION: Project Growth and Development – a showcase of work-in-progress, investigating the relationship between research and creative practice through making.
